| The AEAS is expected to dedicate to the reconstruction
of Korean human science by exploring a new academic
model to comprehend both the diversity of and universality
of East Asia in a systematic way. To do so, the AEAS
will create a new model for 'compound human science,'
including academic, institutional, and social aspects,
by facilitating interdisciplinary and international
approaches to East Asian studies. More specifically,
the AEAS attempts to construct a new paradigm by searching
for a new kind of human science and globalizing Korean
humanities, establish a new academic system to combine
research, education, and information altogether, and
to stabilize the structure of innovative scholarly reproduction.
